Shiva Shadakshara Stotram
|| श्री शिव षडक्षर स्तोत्रम् ||
Shiva Shadakshara Stotram is a powerful Lord Shiva prayer addressed to the six lettered mantra of Shiva: “Om Namah Shivaya”. Hence the name Shad Akshara or 6 letters. The Shiva Sadakshara Stotram is found in the famous Rudrayamala Tantra text. Rudra Yamala Tantra is part of the Bhairava Agama canon of Shaivism as well as Tantric canon of Shaktism. In this Hexa-Syllabic Hymn, there is a single stanza mantra for each letter of Aum-Na-Ma-Shi-Va-Ya. It is believed that anyone who recites Shiva Shadakshara Mantra in front of Lord Shiva, daily with devotion, faith and concentration will attain Happiness and Moksha. Verse 1
ॐकारं बिंदुसंयुक्तं नित्यं ध्यायंति योगिनः । कामदं मोक्षदं चैव ॐकाराय नमो नमः ॥१॥
oṃkāraṃ biṃdusaṃyuktaṃ nityaṃ dhyāyaṃti yoginaḥ . kāmadaṃ mokṣadaṃ caiva oṃkārāya namo namaḥ ..1..
Salutations and salutations to letter “om”, Which is meditated as a letter Om with a dot, Daily by great sages, And leads them to fulfillment of desires, And attainment of salvation.

नमंति ऋषयो देवा नमन्त्यप्सरसां गणाः । नरा नमंति देवेशं नकाराय नमो नमः ॥२॥
namaṃti ṛṣayo devā namantyapsarasāṃ gaṇāḥ . narā namaṃti deveśaṃ nakārāya namo namaḥ ..2..

महादेवं महात्मानं महाध्यानं परायणम् । महापापहरं देवं मकाराय नमो नमः ॥३॥

शिवं शांतं जगन्नाथं लोकानुग्रहकारकम् । शिवमेकपदं नित्यं शिकाराय नमो नमः ॥४॥

षडक्षरमिदं स्तोत्रं यः पठेच्छिवसंनिधौ । शिवलोकमवाप्नोति शिवेन सह मोदते ॥७॥
